On September 15 at Bangkok, final round of “PTT THAILAND LPGA MASTERS 2017” – First round leader Saranporn Langkulgasettrin bounces back greater as the third Master champion at Panya Indra Golf Club.
In this fifth year of ThaiLPGA Master, 17 years-old shot five under-par 211 (68-72-71) in total. Phuket native almost putt a championship birdie at final hole. However the ball just kiss edge and miss by 3 feet. She smiled to herself knowingly a par still seal her victory. At the end she fires an under-par and wins with a stroke advance.
“My sixth victory of 2017 and thirteenth career wins! In first nine, my condition was fluctuated. Birdie, then bogey in loop. When I saw the leader (Siriprakob) I thought to myself ‘the gap is too big’. So in the back nine, the pressure was gone and I relaxed. Without a shadow of bogey.”
“2017 definitely the year that my shots are just right! Especially, having my father by my side as caddie is a huge support. The tournament has ended and I will take a month break after 6 weeks of competition. Then next stop will be ChinaLPGA.”
Final round’s Best of the Day (8,000 THB) was earned by Budsabakorn Sukapan. By fire four under-par, she skyrocketed to second in a blink of eyes. Her co-runner up are Parinda Phokan and Ploychompoo Wilairungreung who remains second since semi-final. While second round leader Chatprapa Siriprakob shot 4 bogeys in the back nine and dropped to joint eighth.
