Rolex Women's World Golf Rankings for Thai LPGA Tour

The Women’s World Golf Rankings (WWGR) announced today the inclusion of the Thai LPGA (Thailand Ladies Professional Golf Association) in the Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings beginning in 2023. The Thai LPGA is the 12th tour to be included in the rankings and is the first addition to the Rolex Rankings since the KLPGA Dream Tour was included in 2021. The addition of the Thai LPGA is another great example of the ever-expanding state of women’s golf around the world. Established in 2008, the Thai LPGA staged 10 54-hole tournaments in 2022 and will do so again in 2023. The tour will begin accumulating points beginning in 2023 at the BGC Championship (Feb. 1-3, 2023). The Thai LPGA will receive the bonus strength of field (Bonus SOF) of six points for all tournaments that are not co-sanctioned with a tour which receives a minimum strength of field. The Thai LPGA joins six other tours that are also allocated the Bonus SOF – the China Ladies Professional Golf Association Tour (CLPGA Tour), Chinese Taipei Ladies Professional Golf Association (TLPGA), JLPGA Step Up Tour, KLPGA Dream Tour, LET Access Series (LETAS) and the Epson Tour. The Bonus SOF rewards those tournaments that reach the middle of a band of points on the points distribution table, enabling them to advance to the next band and thus award points to more players. For example, a tournament with a natural strength of field of 15 will receive a bonus of six points for a total strength of field of 21. Tours receiving the minimum strength of field of 50 are the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA), Ladies European Tour (LET), Ladies Professional Golf Association of Japan (JLPGA) and the Korea Ladies Professional Golf Association (KLPGA). The Women’s Professional Golf Association Tour of Australasia (WPGAA) receives a minimum strength of field of 25.
