"Thai LPGA Classic Attracts 114 Players for Highly Anticipated Tournament at The Vintage Club”

A total of 114 players have registered for the Thai LPGA Classic, which is scheduled to take place from June 7th to June 9th at the par 72 The Vintage Club in Samut Prakarn.

This tournament marks the 7th circuit on the Thai LPGA Tour for the current season and offers a total prize money of Bt1.2 million. The champion will receive a prize of Bt156,000, along with the prestigious "3 Things of Triumph" trophy.

In addition to local players, the tournament features competitors from Malaysia, the Philippines, Indonesia, India, Japan, and South Korea, adding to the international flair of the event. The competition will follow a three-day stroke play format, with the top 60 players and ties advancing to the final round on Friday after 36 holes of play.

The Thai LPGA Classic provides ranking points for the 2023 Thai LPGA Tour Order of Merit, the 2023 Thai LPGA Tour points, and also contributes to the Rolex Women's World Golf Rankings. This gives players an opportunity to enhance their standings and gain recognition in the world of women's professional golf.

The priority lists for the Thai LPGA Tour circuits are as follows:

Top 200 in the world: Players ranked within the top 200 in the world as of the final application date for the specific circuit.

Winners of Thai LPGA Tour Order of Merits: Winners of the Thai LPGA Tour Order of Merit in any given year are eligible for each circuit for three years following their Merit win.

Winners of Thai LPGA Masters: Winners of the Thai LPGA Masters tournament are eligible for two years after their victory.

Winners of two or more Thai LPGA Tour events: Players who have won two or more Thai LPGA Tour events are eligible for two years after their victories.

Winners of one Thai LPGA Tour event: Players who have won one Thai LPGA Tour event are eligible for one year after their victory.

Top 30 players on the 2022 Order of Merits: The top 30 players from the 2022 Thai LPGA Tour Order of Merit are included in the priority list.

14 players from sponsor invites and course quotas: The tournament reserves 14 spots for players invited by sponsors or through course quotas.

Four national players: Four players representing the national team receive priority.

Top 20 from the 2023 Thai LPGA Tour Q-School: The top 20 players from the 2023 Thai LPGA Tour Qualifying School earn priority spots.

Top 30 from the 2023 Thai LPGA Tour Point: The top 30 players from the 2023 Thai LPGA Tour Point standings are given priority.

No. 31-50 from the 2023 Thai LPGA Tour Point: Players ranked from No. 31 to 50 on the 2023 Thai LPGA Tour Point standings also receive priority.

No. 51-70 from the 2023 Thai LPGA Tour Point: Players ranked from No. 51 to 70 on the 2023 Thai LPGA Tour Point standings have priority status.

No. 71-100 from the 2023 Thai LPGA Tour Point: Players ranked from No. 71 to 100 on the 2023 Thai LPGA Tour Point standings are given priority.

No. 21 onwards from the 2023 Thai LPGA Tour Q-School: Players ranked from No. 21 onwards from the 2023 Thai LPGA Tour Qualifying School are included in the priority list until the field is full.

These priority lists help determine the eligibility and participation of players in each Thai LPGA Tour circuit, ensuring a fair and competitive selection process.

In addition to the prize money, the winner will be presented with an exquisitely crafted crystal trophy designed by Nathakorn Kanitvaranu, a renowned glass artist hailing from BGC Glass Studio. BGC Glass Studio is widely acknowledged as Thailand's premier glass education hub. The trophy itself embodies the concept of "3 Things of Triumph" and showcases three elegantly curved shapes, symbolizing the essential qualities a female golfer must possess to achieve her goals: capacity, self-discipline, and perseverance.

The opening round of the tournament is scheduled to begin tomorrow at 7 am. The morning session will commence on both Hole No. 1 and 10, while the afternoon session is set to start after 11:20 am.
